Call tracking comparison

Jet Interactive vs Google call reporting

Google Ads includes call reporting for free, and it genuinely measures calls rather than clicks. The catch is the numbers: they belong to Google, they expire, and they only ever see the calls Google served. Jet is one of only six telcos worldwide inside that same Google Call network — so you keep the native measurement and own the numbers as well.

Why businesses switch

Why Australian businesses choose Jet over Google call reporting

Three differences that show up on the invoice and in the reporting.

🎯

Keep the calls-not-clicks measurement

This is the part most people get wrong: moving to Jet doesn't cost you Google's native call measurement. Jet is one of only six telcos worldwide inside the Google Call network, so calls from your Google Call Ads are still counted by Google at the source and still feed Smart Bidding — you simply own the numbers doing the work.

📵

Numbers that are actually yours

Google's forwarding numbers are Google's property. They expire after roughly two hours and can be reallocated to another advertiser, so a customer who saved the number and rings back next week may not reach you — and can't be given a number on your van, your brochure or your business card. Jet's numbers are dedicated to you permanently.

🔄

Every channel, and the loop back

Google call reporting only ever sees calls from Google-served ads. Jet's session-level number insertion attributes calls from SEO, Meta, Microsoft Ads, email, print and direct on the same basis — then CRM Sync and webhooks push the outcome back to GA4, Google Ads and whatever your team or agency runs.

The difference that decides it

You don't have to choose between them

Google's own call reporting measures calls, not clicks — and Jet doesn't take that away. Jet is one of only six telcos in the world inside the Google Call network, so calls from your Google Call Ads are still counted by Google and still feed Smart Bidding. What changes is everything around it: the numbers become yours permanently, every other channel gets tracked on the same basis, and the outcome flows back from your CRM.

Google call reporting: On its own, Google call reporting stops at the Google-served ad — no recordings, no CRM outcome, and a number you can't use anywhere else.

Head to head

What actually changes when you switch

With Google call reporting

The number isn't yours

Forwarding numbers come from Google's pool, expire after about two hours and can be reassigned. You can't put one on a van, a brochure or a business card.

Only Google's own traffic

Calls from organic search, Meta, Microsoft Ads, email, print or a returning customer are outside the data entirely.

The call ends and so does the data

No recording, no transcript, no outcome, nothing written back to your CRM. You know the phone rang; not whether it was worth anything.

With Jet Interactive

The same Google measurement, kept

Jet is 1 of only 6 telcos worldwide inside the Google Call network, so Google still counts the call and Smart Bidding still optimises toward it.

Dedicated numbers you keep

Your business owns the numbers permanently — website, ads, vehicles, signage — and a callback in six months still reaches you.

Every channel, then back to the CRM

Session-level tracking covers SEO, Meta, Microsoft Ads, email and print, and CRM Sync plus webhooks push the outcome back to GA4, Google Ads and your reporting stack.

Integrations included

Plugs straight into the tools you already use

Every tracked call, pushed live to your ad platforms, analytics and CRM.

Questions

Jet vs Google call reporting — frequently asked

Do I lose the Google integration if I use Jet?
No — this is the part most people get wrong. Jet is one of only six telcos worldwide integrated directly into the Google Call network, so calls from your Google Call Ads are still reported natively by Google and still feed Smart Bidding. You keep what Google gives you and add everything it can't do.
Is Google's free call reporting good enough?
For measuring calls from Google Ads alone it does a real job, including keyword-level attribution. It stops being enough when you want to know what was said on the call, whether it became revenue, or how Google compares with the calls your other channels generate — and because the forwarding numbers are temporary, they can't be used anywhere outside Google Ads.
What happens to a Google forwarding number after the ad session?
Google's forwarding numbers expire after approximately two hours and may be reallocated to another advertiser. A customer who saved the number and calls back later may not reach your business — Google notes the caller can, in rare cases, be forwarded to a separate business. Jet's numbers are dedicated to you permanently.
Can Google call reporting track calls from SEO or Facebook?
No. Google call reporting covers calls generated by Google-served ads. Jet's dynamic number insertion works at session level across your whole site, so calls from organic search, Meta, Microsoft Ads, email campaigns and offline media are all attributed in the same report.
Can we get the call data into our CRM?
Not with Google call reporting — the conversion stays inside Google Ads. With Jet, CRM Sync creates the call as a contact and activity in HubSpot or Salesforce, captures the outcome, and pushes it back to GA4 and Google Ads, while flexible webhooks send the raw data to any warehouse, dashboard or bidding tool.

About this comparison. Jet figures are from Jet's current published pricing and critical information summary. Google call reporting details are taken from Google call reporting's own public website and published documentation as at August 2026 and may have changed since. “Partial” marks a capability that exists in a different or add-on form rather than a like-for-like match; where a provider does not publish information we have marked it as not published rather than assumed. Currency conversions are indicative only. Businesses should confirm current details directly with each provider before deciding.
