Jet prices are from jetinteractive.com.au and the 1300 & 1800 Numbers Critical Information Summary (PDF), version October 2026. Charged calls are billed in one-minute increments with a two-minute minimum. Unlimited inbound calls must be answered on a Jet app, softphone or Jet Business Phone and are subject to Jet's Fair Use Policy. Alltel bills calls per second. Frequently asked questions

Is Jet or Alltel cheaper for a 1300 number?

On the published entry plans Jet is cheaper on every line: $3 a month against $5, $0 setup against $20, and 3c a minute against 19.5c to a landline or 28.5c to a mobile. At 100 three-minute calls a month answered on a mobile that is about $12 at Jet and about $90 at Alltel before setup. Alltel's higher plans include minutes and features, so compare the total bill for your call volume rather than the access fee.

Does Alltel charge a setup fee for a 1300 number?

Yes. Alltel's plan page lists a $20 once-off setup fee on the 1300 Starter plan and $30 on the Plus, Pro and Premium plans, plus a $5 or $50 once-off charge depending on the number you pick from its pool. Jet has no setup fee and standard numbers are free.

Does Alltel include call recording and IVR?

From the 1300 Plus plan ($20 a month) up, yes. On the $5 Starter plan IVR, Business Intro and Voice to Email are $15 a month add-ons each and call recording is not listed. Jet charges $10 a month per number for recording with AI summaries (included on the 5×5 offer) and $25 a month per account for IVR.

Can I move my 1300 number from Alltel to Jet?

Yes. 1300 numbers are portable between Australian providers. Jet ports numbers in at no charge and configures the call flow before cutover so there is no downtime. Alltel's own port-out terms are in its critical information summary.

Is there a lock-in contract with either provider?

No. Alltel advertises no contracts and bills monthly or annually. Jet's Standard and Unlimited inbound plans are month to month; the $3 3×3 and $5 5×5 offers have a three-month minimum and are month to month after that.
